THE BOUNTY AWAITS: WHAT YOU’LL REEL IN
Sea Bass: Prepare for a culinary delight as you catch the finest table fare. Running from late June through late December, Sea Bass, akin to grouper, inhabit depths of 50-100′ on reefs, ledges, wrecks, and rock formations. Ranging from 2-6 lbs., these fish indulge in crabs and lobsters, yet we entice them with fresh clams, squid, and jigs.
Cod: Delight in the flavor and flakiness of cold water bottomfish available year-round. Weighing 8-30 lbs., Cod thrive in the depths of 70-180′. These sea gems are found on reefs, ledges, wrecks, and rocky terrain, favoring fresh clams and jigs as their treats of choice.
Porgies: Embrace the thrill of fast-paced action with these flavorful and spirited bottomfish. From early May to mid-December, Porgies, boasting sizes of 1-5 lbs., create an exciting experience for all skill levels. Set your sights on sandy and mussel beds, reefs, ledges, wrecks, and more, and entice them with fresh clams, bloodworms, squid, and jigs.
A SLICE OF PARADISE: BLOCK ISLAND’S SEASIDE MARVELS AND WILDLIFE
Nestled just south of mainland Rhode Island, Block Island beckons with its enchanting landscapes. The 1800s red-brick Southeast Lighthouse stands atop the dramatic clay cliffs of Mohegan Bluffs, overlooking the rocky beach below. Witness sandy shores like Crescent Beach on the east coast and the North Lighthouse, built in 1867, while migratory songbirds grace the Block Island National Wildlife Refuge, enhancing the island’s natural allure.
